28th ID band performs at Steelers game

PITTSBURGH -- The 28th Infantry Division Band performed at Heinz Field as part of the pre-game festivities of the Pittsburgh Steelers Monday Night Football game against the Chicago Bears on Nov. 8.

The band was commanded by Chief Warrant Officer 2 Aaron Burkle.

Simultaneously, the 28th ID Rock Band "Cross Fire" performed on the A&E Stage outside Heinz Field. Cross Fire is a Rock Band that performs current pop music. It was led by Staff Sgt. Barclay Styles.

Cross Fire was joined by the 28th ID Band Brass Quintet for a few songs. The Brass quintet was led by Staff Sgt. David Tini.

The 28th ID Band is based in Holidaysburg, Pa., has been performing around the world for more than 70 years. It has performed for presidents, at World War II commemorations in Europe, for deployed service members and at sporting events.
