MCAS Cherry Point Welcomes Blue Angel #7

Welcome to Marine Corps Air Station (MCAS) Cherry Point, Lt. Cmdr. Julius Bratton!
Bratton, a pilot with the U.S. Navy’s Flight Demonstration Squadron, arrived this morning signaling that the rest of the Blue Angles, including the C-130 Fat Albert, are not far behind. The Blue Angels will be headlining this year’s air show as part of the grand finale on Sept. 25-26, 2021. The MCAS Cherry Point air show this year is in celebration of the air station 80th anniversary's. The Blue Angels will perform the grand finale both Saturday and Sunday.
The Blue Angels were established in 1946 and have created a legacy of excellence. By the addition of a smoke-oil tank, the F/A-18 Super Hornets produce the famous smoke trails. Each of the aerial maneuvers requires a lot of practice and the jets are flown in by the pilots themselves to every air show.
