Re-enlisting in Ramadi, Iraq

CAMP RAMADI, Iraq - A Colorado Guardsmen assigned to 3rd Battalion, 157th Field Artillery, re-enlisted in a small ceremony here Sept. 22 on the roof of the unit's office.

Thornton, Colo., resident Cpl. Jonathan Ern, re-enlisted in the Colorado Guard for a three-year contract.

"Today was my first time [on the roof]," said Ern, who chose to have it up there because it gave the best view of the camp.

Re-enlisting Ern was Capt. Dom Tatti, commander of Battery A, 3rd Battalion, 157th Field Artillery, Colorado Army National Guard, 115th Fires Brigade.

Ern, who had previously deployed to Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom, is the battalion's first re-enlistment at Camp Ramadi.
