The intent of this system is to enable a client-facing web application that utilizes geographically placed sensor nodes to detect Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) signals emitted from beacon devices affixed to the mobile equipment. Through the process of localized trilateration, precision geolocation can be derived in secure military areas and indoor environments that are unsuitable for GPS. Through the detection of positioning changes, the system relays an active or inactive status for equipment and provides web feedback for visualization on user-friendly interface pages. The user is provided with methods of interacting with the MySQL database administrator to add, remove, and show equipment. On the back-end, the application processes the Bluetooth Beacon’s coordinates and utilizes cursors to identify the equipment based on its hexadecimal identifier code and updates its database coordinates with the change in location.
