Brewster Assumes Duties As Senior Enlisted Wildcard

K-16, SOUTH KOREA —"If you are not having fun doing what you do, then it's time to go home. I'm not ready to go yet."

And then he took the reigns as the senior enlisted Soldier with the 2nd Aviation Regiment (Assault), 2nd Combat Aviation Brigade.

Command Sgt. Maj. Randall Brewster accepted the responsibilities of battalion command sergeant major from Sgt. Maj. Robert Bousely in ceremonies held July 13.

Bousely served as the Wildcard senior non-commissioned officer for six weeks prior to Brewster's arrival. His next assignment is at Fort Drum, N.Y.

"Everyone has a place to be and a time to be there," Bousley said. "I've never been in an assault battalion, but I've learned and experienced a lot. I hope I get the opportunity to be a command sergeant major for an assault battalion at Fort Drum. I think I would really enjoy it."

Bousely served as the 2nd CAB operations sergeant major and was selected to fill the Wildcard position until Brewster's arrival.

"Sgt. Maj. Bousley answered the call to duty in May and has upheld the standards and given sage counsel," said Lt. Col. Matthew Lewis, 2-2 Avn. Reg. (Aslt)
