CHARLESTON, S.C. (Feb. 20, 2020) A 628th Civil Engineering Squadron team removed dirt from drainage ditches outside of building 247 in response to a workorder on Feb. 20, 2020. The team made quick work of the problem in about four hours from start to finish.
“We’re re-opening some overgrown ditches to allow water flow so that the sidewalks won’t flood.” Explained Senior Airman Zachary Hensley, a heavy equipment operator assigned to the 628th. “For this job we’re working hand in hand with plumbers. We dig down to the pipes, and then they’ll clear it out.”
The 628th CES completed other workorders recently, including a side walk project for the Airmen's Attic, and a handicap ramp for the clinic.
“Joint Base Charleston, the North Auxiliary Field, the Naval Weapons Station, you name it. If there’s a problem we will solve it.” Said Hensley.
