Task Force 66 to support Atlantic Resolve

KAISERSLAUTERN, Germany – The 18th Combat Sustainment Support Battalion held a deployment ceremony Jan. 10, 2020, to pay tribute to Soldiers from Task Force 66 who will be deploying on a nine-month tour in support of Atlantic Resolve.

Atlantic Resolve provides rotational units with the ability to build readiness, increase interoperability and enhances the bond between ally and partner nations through multinational training events.

Task Force 66 is commanded by Cpt. Justine Conner and 1st Sgt. Paul Moore. The unit is comprised of three separate companies within the 18th CSSB. The 66th Transportation Company, from Kleber, Kaserne, the 515th Transportation Company, from Baumholder and the 51st Composite Truck Company, from Grafenwoehr.

“Together as one team, they will make positive impacts on a daily basis, as they ensure critical tasks of distribution support of the Atlantic Resolve mission,” said Lt. Col. Charles V. Jaquillard, commander, 18th CSSB. “Their contributions in deterring Russian Aggression will surely help to ensure a Strong Europe.”

Jaquillard spoke about all the hard work and efforts the leaders and Soldiers put to ensuring they were mission ready.

“They have devoted countless of hours dedicated to ensuring their ability to conduct their mission, including cross training on additional trucks and trailers in order to safely conduct their mission and return home to their families and loved ones upon completion of this deployment.”

“This deployment will offer challenges that will be overcome, and it will provide an opportunity for this Task Force and its Soldiers to professionally grow and learn. “I look forward to hearing about their accomplishments and successes. Know without a doubt, how proud I am of what they have done and what they are about to do.”
