Staff Sgt. Grant Skelton is Rickenbacker's January Airman Spotlight

Our January Rickenbacker Spotlight goes out to Staff Sgt. Grant Skelton. Skelton is new to the 121st Air Refueling Wing, and has thrived in his first few months in the unit.

Skelton is originally from Arcanum, Ohio and he graduated from Franklin Monroe High school. He works in Administration, helping our members with reenlistments, awards, our unit fitness program, lodging, and much more.

As a civilian, Skelton works as a DEAMS help desk Technician. When he is not at work or on base, he enjoys golfing, hiking, and going to sporting events. His goals include completing tech school, deploying with his new unit and finishing his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration.

Skelton says the thing he is most proud of in his life is leaving his comfort zone to join the Air Force.

Although he has not been part of the unit long, Skelton says he feels right at home.

“It is a special feeling to be a part of a unit where everyone treats you as family,” said Skelton. “I always wanted to join the National Guard once my time in Active Duty was over, and I couldn’t be happier with my decision to join the 121st.”

We are very excited to have Staff Sgt. Skelton as part of our team here at the 121st, and we cannot wait to see what he accomplishes. Congratulations on being our January spotlight, Staff Sgt. Skelton!
