HHC, USAG Benelux welcomes new commander

SCHINNEN, The Netherlands -- Headquarters and Headquarters Company welcomed Capt. Dainese E. Roberts, incoming commander, during a change of command ceremony Dec. 12, 2019 in Schinnen, The Netherlands. Roberts assumed command of the company from Capt. Ryan T. Gilliam.

Roberts was born in McCormick, South Carolina. She attended and graduated from the University of South Carolina at Upstate, earning a Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education and a Master’s Degree in Business and Organizational Security Management from Webster University. Roberts earned her commission in 2010 through ROTC, at Wofford College in Spartanburg, South Carolina.

Roberts’ previous military assignments include Platoon Leader, 64th Military Police Company, Fort Hood, Texas; Executive Officer, Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 89th Military Police Brigade, Ford Hood, Texas; Force Protection Chief, Waegwan, South Korea; Plans Officer, 385th Military Police Battalion, Fort Stewart, Georgia; Operations Officer, 3rd Military Police Group (CID), Savannah, Georgia; and Headquarters and headquarters Detachment Commander, 3rd Military Police Group (CID), Savannah, Georgia.

Col. Sean Hunt Kuester, USAG Benelux garrison commander, expressed his gratitude to Gilliam. “Thank you for your devotion to your mission and your soldiers,” he said. “Capt. Roberts, take what Ryan has built and keep improving it,” he added.
