Outstanding Airmen of the quarter

MCGHEE TYSON AIR NATIONAL GUARD BASE, Tenn. – Two U.S. Air Force Airmen learned of their selection as I.G. Brown Training and Education Center Airmen of the third quarter when the commander congratulated them at his recent all-staff meeting.

“They have done outstanding work for us this summer,” said U.S. Air Force Col. Kenneth Lozano, commander. “I have no doubts that they will continue in that same selfless service.”

The Senior Noncommissioned Officer of the Quarter is Master Sgt. Sarah McIntosh Oldaker, a professional military education instructor for the Chief Master Sergeant Paul H. Lankford Enlisted Professional Military Education Center.

Supervisors said that Sergeant McIntosh Oldaker demonstrated leadership and performance by training and instructing two faculty members in 24 lesson plans as well as 253 curriculum hours. She managed and maintained 48 lessons of the new Airman Leadership School curriculum, which ensured proper presentations and evaluations.

Sergeant McIntosh Oldaker organized a unit morale event that enabled Airmen and families to maintain mental, physical, social, and spiritual wellness.

The NCO of the Quarter is Tech. Sgt. Naieema Colon, a PME instructor for the Lankford EPME Center.

Officials said that Sergeant Colon demonstrated leadership and performance in her duties as team lead for ALS. She coached and coordinated eight instructors and 112 students. She managed the ALS drill and ceremonies program, which trained 25 Airmen on the proper procedures in Air Force traditions, to include the center’s reveille and retreat formations.

Sergeant Colon served as the Enlisted Council president. She coordinated the council’s bylaws, revisions, and compliance for TEC staff and faculty.

The awardees’ recognition included an award plaque and other honors.
