KABUL, Afghanistan — Three International Security Assistance Force service members were killed and one injured after an Improvised Explosive Device attack in eastern Afghanistan, May 26.

"ISAF mourns the loss of these three brave service members and wishes a quick recovery for our wounded colleague," said Captain Mark Durkin, ISAF spokesperson. "We will continue our work to defeat the indiscriminate IED tactics that threaten Afghans and international soldiers, as we assist Afghans in their fight against the insurgency."

It is ISAF policy not to release the nationality of any casualty prior to the relevant national authority doing so.
