BACKGROUND: Lt. Col. Thomas M. Griffin is the commander of the 136th Attack Squadron, Niagara Falls Joint Air Reserve Station, Niagara Falls, N.Y. Griffin serves as the senior uniformed Air National Guard officer responsible for oversight of the 136th Attack Squadron’s MQ-9 Combat Air Patrol(s). The 136 ATKS conducts intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance missions along with providing close air support to U.S. and coalition forces in support of overseas contingency operations. As a member of the 107th Attack Wing, Lt. Col. Griffin and other officers and senior enlisted leaders function as military advisors to the 107th Operations Group commander, the wing commander, and the New York State adjutant general.
