Coast Guard medevacs man from tanker 265 miles southeast of Wilmington, N.C.

Watchstanders at Coast Guard Fifth District Command Center received the initial report from Rescue Coordination Centre Bermuda that a man aboard a tanker vessel was in need of medevac.

An aircrew from Coast Guard Air Station Elizabeth City was launched aboard an MH-60 Jayhawk to assist.

The aircrew hoisted the man and transported him to the New Hanover Regional Hospital.
