National Hunting and Fishing Day

In observance of National Hunting and Fishing Day, this is a reminder to the community to stay up-to-date on the Marine Corps Air Station (MCAS) Cherry Point rules and regulations for on-base hunting and fishing activities.

Contact the MCAS Cherry Point Game Warden for quick answers to questions regarding base regulations at 252-466-3242.

A valid state fishing license and a station fishing permit are required for fishing on the air station, so fishers should have the appropriate documents on hand. Refer to the appropriate state agency regulations for questions about required licenses or permits for off-base fishing.

Hunting aboard the air station can be very satisfying if hunters follow the base regulations. All hunters must obtain, and have in possession when hunting, an Air Station Hunting or Combination permit. Anyone hunting at MCAS Cherry Point must be aware of all current requirements and regulations such as seasons and limits, hunting areas, safety, area clearance and prohibited activities.

Have fun and be safe while enjoying outdoor, wildlife activities. Follow the either of the links for more information regarding hunting or fishing on the air station:
