Fort Benning Soldier competes at 2019 Pan American Games

The 2019 Pan American Games in Lima, Peru are officially in full swing and the U.S. Army and U.S. Army Reserve have Soldiers competing.


Here is the run down of the servicemembers competing and their events:


Men's Three-Position Rifle
* Sgt. 1st Class Michael McPhail from the USAMU (Darlington, Wisconsin)
* Sgt. Timothy Sherry from the USAMU (Highlands Ranch, Colorado)


Men's Air Rifle
* Sgt. Timothy Sherry from the USAMU (Highlands Ranch, Colorado)
(Sherry is the only US athlete competing in two individual events.)


Mixed Air Rifle
* Sgt. Timothy Sherry from the USAMU (with Ali Weisz)


Women's Three-Position Rifle
* 1st Lt. Sarah Beard from the U.S. Army Reserve (Danville, Indiana)
(Beard trains with the USAMU and is part of our family here.)


Women's Trap
* Spc. Rachel Tozier from the USAMU (Liberty, Missouri)


Men's Trap
* Staff Sgt. Derek Haldeman from the USAMU (Sunbury, Ohio)


Mixed Trap Team
* Staff Sgt. Derek Haldeman from the USAMU (with Ashley Carroll)


Men's Skeet
* Spc. Phillip Jungman from the USAMU (Caldwell,, Texas)
* Sgt. Christian Elliott from the USAMU (Greenwood, Indiana)


Women's Sport Pistol
* Staff Sgt. Sandra Uptagrafft from the U.S. Army Reserve (Phenix City, Alabama)
(Uptagrafft is the also a part of the USAMU family. She is married to USAMU's Sgt. 1st Class Eric Uptagrafft. And fun fact, they are both 2012 Olympians!)


Men's Air Pistol
* Sgt. Nick Mowrer from the U.S. Army Reserve (Butte, Montana)
