"She carried herself with professionalism, and was motivated to learn everything that I could teach her," said Chief Warrant Officer Aquiella Montero, Administrative and Supply Officer of Mobile Mine Assembly Group, and Arreola's former supervisor. “I learned a lot from her as well," says Montero.
Arreola, a native of Mission Viejo, Calif., held the position of security clearance manager since reporting to Joint Tactical Networking Center in June 2016, where she aided and ensured personnel at the command were mission-ready.
“She is a consummate professional,” said Senior Chief Information Technician (IW/EXW) Anthony Villanueva, Arreola’s Leading Chief Petty Officer at the Joint Tactical Networking Center. He describes her as a dedicated and determined Sailor.
The ceremony was attended by officers, junior and senior enlisted Sailors, and friends and family.
Arreola conveyed that she wasn’t fond of retiring, but that she was accepting it. “I don’t like it, but I think it’s time to move on to bigger and better things,” she said.
Arreola began her naval reserve career in 1997. She has served at a myriad of commands, including Navy Reserve Special Boat Team TWELVE, Navy Reserve Naval Special Warfare Operational Support Team-1 Staff, and Naval Surface Force, U.S. Pacific Fleet.
Arreola earned several medals and awards during her tenure, including a Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal, 6 Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medals, and 5 Navy Reserve Meritorious Service Medals.
