ROCK ISLAND ARSENAL, Ill. – The office of Small Business Programs, U.S. Army Sustainment Command, hosted a ceremony on May 13 for the swearing in of Steven Szalo as the new Small Business Administration procurement center representative. Szalo will be the PCR for multiple buying commands, including the U.S. Army Contracting Command - Rock Island and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers - Rock Island District.
As the PCR, Szalo analyzes procurement strategies pursuing opportunities for small businesses. His duties include assisting with market research, subcontracting plans and payment issues, as well as counseling small businesses on the contracting process. Szalo will also serve as a liaison with community organizations and businesses.
His office is located in Building 131 on Rock Island Arsenal.
