KIRTLAND AIR FORCE BASE, N.M. – Col. David S. Miller will assume command of the 377th Air Base Wing in a 9 a.m. ceremony June 21 here. There will be a brief window for media availability with Col. Miller at 8:20 a.m.

Miller comes to Kirtland from Malmstrom Air Force Base, Montana. As commander of the 341st Maintenance Group, he was responsible for the maintenance support of Minuteman III intercontinental ballistic missiles, 150 launch facilities and 15 missile alert facilities located throughout a 13,800 square-mile complex in central Montana. Miller succeeds Col. Richard Gibbs, who will move to Scott Air Force Base to become the A4 Director of Logistics, Engineering, and Force Protection with the Air Mobility Command.

Maj. Gen. Ferdinand B. Stoss III, Commander, Twentieth Air Force, Air Force Global Strike Command, will preside at the event.
