Service members and veterans are honored at Idaho State Veterans Cemetary Memorial Day Ceremony

Members of the community, retired military, and current military members gathered at the Memorial Day Ceremony on May 27, 2019 at the Idaho State Veterans Cemetery in Boise, Idaho to honor and remember all those who died serving in defense of our Nation, as well as those who served and those who are still serving in the armed forces.

“We honor those that are serving today and we must never forget what our veterans have done and are doing for us,” said Senator Chuck Winder of the Idaho Senate, who is a Vietnam Veteran and was the keynote speaker for the ceremony.

The event was celebrated with ceremonial wreath presentation by veteran and civic organizations, canon salute, military aircraft flyover by the 124th Fighter Wing, music by the 25th Army Band, and special recognition of current service members, veterans, and those who died while serving in the United States Armed Forces.
