CAMP PENDLETON, Calif. - The Marine Corps team held nothing back as they trained aboard Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton May 6-10 for competition in the Department of Defense Warrior Games to be held in June.

The training camp was hosted by the Wounded Warrior Regiment's Warrior Athletic Reconditioning Program (WAR-P) coaches and staff. These dedicated professionals work with wounded, ill, and injured Marines and veterans throughout the year to identify recovery goals and develop adaptive sporting activities that foster feelings of pride and accomplishment essential to recovery.

The DoD Warrior Games is the culminating adaptive sporting event for wounded warriors in the armed forces, U.S. Special Operations Command (SOCOM) and from five allied nations. The 2019 games are being hosted by SOCOM in Tampa, Florida and will take place from June 21-30, 2019.
