Jean Francois Named TSCHR Sailor of the Quarter

Ships Servicemen 1st Class (SW/AW/IW) Aderson Jean Francois, Training Support Center Hampton Roads (TSCHR) supply department leading petty officer, was named Sailor of the Quarter, Second Quarter 2019.

“He is a highly resourceful and a reliable Sailor who goes above and beyond the call of duty,” said Chief Logistics Specialist (SW/AW) Melvin Tiangson. “Petty Officer Jean Francois’ work ethic, managerial skills and job performance are unmatched. His contributions on and off duty to the command and the TSCHR community have been invaluable.”

Jean Francois is a native of Port-au-Prince, Haiti. He has proudly served the U.S. Navy for 17 years and 13 of those years were sea duty.

“I take tremendous pride and dedication in investing personal time and effort to mentor, teach and coach junior Sailors in order to make our department better than I had found it,” said Jean Francois.
“It requires teamwork and a concerted effort to support the TSCHR overall mission. This award is a testament of what togetherness and professionalism translate into.”

Jean Francois is a devoted husband and father of two young boys, speaks fluent English, French, Haitian Creole and he is currently pursuing a Master of Business Administration, Virginia Wesleyan University.

“I am very fortunate to lead a dynamic group of highly motivated and combat-ready Sailors and I am so thankful for having a chain of command that supports my professional development and academic endeavors,” said Jean Francois.
