14th HRSC Conduct Staff Exercise

FORT KNOX, Ky. – Soldiers from the 14th Human Resources Sustainment Center (HRSC) conducted a staff exercise (STAFFEX) at the Fort Knox Mission Control Training Center (MCTC) Dec 10-14.

The STAFFEX simulated real-life scenarios shared by the currently deployed HRSC to ensure realistic theater-level Human Resources training for the 14th HRSC may encounter in preparation for their 2019 deployment. The purpose of the exercise was to conduct an internal assessment the 14th HRSC’s ability to provide theater-level Human Resource Operations for Postal, Casualty, and Personnel Accountability and determine training priorities prior to the Culminating Training Event that will take place May 2019.

Sgt. Maj. Reginald Brundidge, 14th HRSC Directorate sergeant major, explained the importance of conducting a STAFFEX with his Soldiers.

“The STAFFEX represents an opportunity for the 14th to assess and improve its proficiency in performing its mission essential and collective tasks,” Brundidge said. “This will help determine future training priorities.”

Training priorities for this STAFFEX established by each division through objectively addressing the remaining essential and collective tasks needing performance and evaluation.

The STAFFEX was a success and future exercises are scheduled. This is one way the 1st Theater Sustainment Command prepares its units for their “Road to War.”
