1st TSC Plans LOGJAM Wargames

FORT KNOX, Ky. – Soldiers from the 1st Theater Sustainment Command (TSC), United States Army Central (ARCENT), and Central Army Analysis (CAA) gathered to plan the third Logistic Justification Analytical Model (LOGJAM) focused wargames this year.

The wargames will commence at Fort Belvoir, Va. during the first two weeks of March. 1st TSC will send 10 to 15 Soldiers whose objectives are to advise the Army Service Component Command on logistical feasibility of operations in the Middle East.

Lt. Col. Andrew Brown, chief of plans, for ARCENT G-5, explained how the classified wargames would take place.

“We plan on using a large-scaled map,” Brown said. “We will simulate moving pieces as well as use Excel-based programs to coordinate the logistical movements.”

Brown said the measure of success is empowering and validating planned operations in the U.S. Central Command Area of Responsibility (CENTCOM AOR).

ARCENT is leading the LOGJAM wargames in March. The 1st TSC is a subordinate unit for ARCENT, and it’s their first time they are participating in the logistical wargames.

1st TSC continues to support unified land operations by working with its higher headquarters to effectively set the theater and solve complex situations that arise in CENTCOM AOR.
