Public invited to tree lighting ceremony at Fort Indiantown Gap

FORT INDIANTOWN GAP, Pa. – Installation officials will host a tree lighting ceremony at 3:30 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 30 at the corner of Fisher Avenue and Wiley Road, near the C-130 cargo plane static display. In the event of inclement weather the ceremony will be held at the Fort Indiantown Gap Community Club ballroom.

Maj. Gen. Anthony Carrelli, Pennsylvania's adjutant general, will preside over the ceremony. He will be accompanied by Lt. Col. Lane Marshall, Fort Indiantown Gap garrison commander.

Santa will arrive at the ceremony via a Fort Indiantown Gap fire truck.

The public is invited to the Fort Indiantown Gap Community Club at 4:00 p.m. following the tree lighting ceremony for a visit with Santa and complimentary refreshments including coffee, hot chocolate, cookies, and treats for kids. Santa will be available for photos and interaction until 4:30 p.m.

Holiday music will be played by a brass quintet of the Air National Guard Band of the Northeast at the tree lighting and afterwards at the Community Club.
