PETERSON AIR FORCE BASE, Colo. – The recently announced Department of Defense support to U.S. Customs and Border Protection at the southwest border is named Operation FAITHFUL PATRIOT. Border security is national security, and the entire federal government is working together to ensure the security of the southwest border. DOD has a long history of supporting the Department of Homeland Security and CBP in their mission to secure the U.S. border and has a wide range of capabilities and capacity that can be used to support DHS.
