Recruiting Station Jacksonville Company Honor Graduate

MARINE CORPS RECRUIT DEPOT PARRIS ISLAND, S.C. - Pfc. Jontavius Kates graduated from Marine recruit training today as the company honor graduate of Company G, 2nd Battalion, Recruit Training Regiment, for placing first out of 487 recruits.

The honor graduate award recognizes the Marine who best exemplifies the total Marine concept, which encompasses physical fitness, marksmanship and leadership traits, during recruit training.

Kates, was recruited at Recruiting Substation Warner Robins, Georgia, by Staff Sergeant James E. Williams III. He attended Warner Robins High School.
