Phoenix Recruiting Battalion conducts mass enlistment at WNBA game

PHOENIX – The Phoenix Recruiting Battalion conducted a mass oath of enlistment ceremony for 35 Future Soldiers, during half-time of the Phoenix Mercury and Las Vegas Aces Women’s National Basketball Association match, July 19, Talking Stick Resort Arena.

The oath was delivered by Lt. Col. Scott Morley, commander, Phoenix. Rec. Bn., who had previously assumed command of the battalion at the same venue earlier that afternoon.

The national anthem was sung by 1st. Sgt. Geno Nash, Tucson Recruiting Company, who received a rousing reception from the thousands in attendance.

This was the fifth oath of enlistment ceremony held by the battalion in the last year, with previous ceremonies being conducted with the Arizona Diamondbacks and Arizona Cardinals.
