This year’s tournament will have nearly 300 competitors representing the Active Army, Reserve and National Guard, as well as service members from the U.S. Marine Corps, U.S. Navy, and U.S. Coast Guard who will all be vying for the All Armed Services Championship Belts. This year’s tournament will also feature a team-based competition that includes a Tactical Team Event in which the top team will be awarded a Combatives Team Trophy. The competitors for the team competition are Fort Bragg, Fort Drum, Fort Campbell, Fort Stewart, Fort Carson, Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Schofield Barracks, Guam National Guard, Pennsylvania National Guard, North Carolina National Guard and the U.S. Military Academy. The U.S. Army Combatives Program historically has developed many world-class and high-level mixed martial arts and grappling athletes. Some have even gone onto successful professional fighting careers outside the military. This tournament is a unique opportunity to witness the hand-to-hand combat techniques that service members have employed on today’s battlefields to ensure they are able to fight and win against the enemies of the United States.
