MCTSSA support center aids operating forces

Marine Corps Tactical Systems Support Activity’s support center, located aboard Camp Pendleton, California, is the Marine Corps’ premier tactical command, control, communications, computers and intelligence, or C4I, systems support agency. The support center provides Department of Defense personnel with an array of C4I systems support in garrison or forward deployed, across the full range of military operations.

“The support center’s remote technical support allows C4I systems users to speak—via phone, email, or chat on both classified and unclassified networks—with a subject matter expert to resolve system issues or provide system operations guidance,” said Maj. Alexander Beachy, MCTSSA Operating Forces Support Group director.

To further enhance the support center’s remote support capability, a Common Access Card-authenticated self-help website has been created that gives users online access to systems documentation; a repository of known system issues and solutions or workarounds; system software; and a community forum to collaborate with subject matter experts and other service members, or to report problems.

In addition to remote support, the support center personnel will deploy to any location and provide on-site support to the operating forces, including over-the-shoulder training; tactical network analysis and troubleshooting; system setup and configuration guidance; and systems interoperability instructions.

“It is our mission to ensure the Marines' can successfully employ their systems to gain the tactical advantage over the enemy,” said Beachy. “Our services are available to Marines operating in any environment—from backyard exercises to the edge of battle.”

The operating forces can submit requests online via the self-help website (https://mceits.usmc.mil/sites/MCTSSA/SitePages/Home.aspx) or by calling (760) 725-0533.
