Registration for the Army Materiel Command’s second quarter Team Redstone Advance Planning Briefing to Industry is now open.

The briefing will be hosted by the Aviation and Missile Command at Redstone Arsenal on March 6-7, at the John J. Sparkman Center’s Bob Jones Auditorium, Building 5304.

APBI will begin March 6 at 8 a.m. with opening comments from AMC and AMCOM leadership, and will continue with two days of briefings focused on government contracting opportunities. This year’s APBI theme is “Enabling Sustainable Readiness through Speed, Accuracy, and Quality.”

APBI will be held in conjunction with AMCOM Industry Days with select Original Equipment Manufacturer suppliers, and Small Business Showcase scheduled for the afternoon of March 7. Industry invitations from the AMCOM commander Maj. Gen. Douglas Gabram were sent through FedBizOpps Special Notice Announcement Number: 2018TEAMREDSTONEAPBI.

Along with AMC and AMCOM, other government agencies at Redstone Arsenal and within a 50-mile radius have been invited to participate in the event. Expected presenters/exhibitors include the Space and Missile Defense Command, Missile Defense Agency, Program Executive Office for Aviation, Program Executive Office for Missiles and Space, the Logistics Support Activity and NASA’s Marshall Space Flight Center.

AMCOM’s participation will include the AMCOM Logistics Center; Security Assistance Management Directorate; Test, Measurement and Diagnostic Activity; Corpus Christi Army Depot, Texas; Letterkenny Army Depot, Pennsylvania; Army Contracting Command-Redstone; and the Aviation and Missile Research, Development and Engineering Center.

In addition to this year’s APBI, there will be a Small Business Industry Showcase including Small Business capability presentations and exhibits. Invitations and details for this event are included in the FedBizOpps Special Notice announcement.

The combined events will allow government agencies and industry to consolidate resources, gain synergy and maximize the return on investments by providing a venue through which to discuss all government contracting opportunities within Redstone Arsenal’s geographic area.

Industry representatives attending the fiscal year 2017 APBI at Redstone Arsenal represented 19 states. Fifty-seven percent of attendees were from Alabama. Thirty-two percent of attendees identified themselves as business developers.

There will be a combined No Host Social from 5-7 p.m. on March 6 at Redstone Arsenal’s Summit that will provide expanded networking opportunities for all participants.

APBI registration will close on March 1; and registration for the No-Host Social will close Feb. 20. To register for both events, go to: https://conference.redstone.army.mil/.
