Command Sgt. Maj. Davor Petek, Command Senior Enlisted Leader for Allied Command Operations at NATO’s Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe, visited with Afghan Special Security Forces during a recent visit to Afghanistan, Dec. 5-6, 2017. Over his two day in Kabul, Petek visited with Afghan police students at the General Command of Police Special Units’ Training Center at Camp Lion, and attended the graduation of the 21st Commando Qualification Course at Camp Commando.

GCPSU and the Commandos, along with the Special Mission Wing, form the cornerstone for the Afghan 2020 Road Map. The Road Map is the Afghan government’s plan to provide enhanced security and stability that includes the doubling the size of the ASSF.

At NATO SHAPE, Petek provides the Supreme Allied Commander Europe and SHAPE staff with the enlisted perspective on strategic vision, goals and objectives, and leads the command's efforts on enlisted development, utilization and engagement.
