ANNISTON ARMY DEPOT, Ala. -- This week, senior leaders from throughout the depot are learning to be spokespeople for the installation.
Training, coordinated with the Office of the Chief of Public Affairs, will take directors and special staff through the development of command messages and message mapping then an exercise designed to test their skills.
Carl Mahnken, a senior public affairs specialist, led the training, which focused on developing messages and choosing stories which underscore the Army and depot missions.
"I like someone critiquing me because it will make me better," Tommy Carlisle, the deputy director of production management, said of the training.
