Armor to arrive in Poland for back-to-back rotation

GDANSK, Poland – Tanks, trucks and other equipment are scheduled to arrive in Germany and Poland in mid-September as another rotational U.S. Army armored brigade takes up the mission to provide a continuous presence across Eastern Europe.

Troops and equipment from the 2nd Armored Brigade Combat Team, 1st Infantry Division, out of Fort Riley, Kansas, will replace the 3rd Armored Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division, which has been in Europe for nine months in support of Operation Atlantic Resolve.

Track and wheeled vehicles and other equipment will arrive in Gdansk, Poland, and Bremerhaven, Germany, around September 13 and September 14, respectively.

Media are invited to observe the offload and movement of equipment in Gdansk on September 13 at 9:30 a.m., which will be followed by a question and answer session with U.S. and Polish military leaders.
