Fleet Cyber Command Announces Sailors of the Quarter

FORT GEORGE G. MEADE, Md. (NNS) – Three Sailors assigned to U.S. Fleet Cyber Command/U.S. 10th Fleet (FCC/C10F) were recognized as the command’s Sailors of the Quarter for the 3rd quarter of the fiscal year 2017.

Cryptologic Technician (Network) 1st Class Tanya Breeze, Information Systems Technician 2nd Class Brett Chase, and Information Systems Technician 3rd Class Cody Jeske were selected as Senior Sailor, Junior Sailor and Blue Jacket of the Quarter respectively.

“The Navy continues to expect more from each of its Sailors, and these three are a great example of what the Navy is looking for. They are experts in their ratings and jobs and always step up to ensure the staff and their fellow Sailors succeed. They are role models for other Sailors to emulate,” said Master Chief Cryptologic Technician (Collection) Jeffrey Tucker, FCC/C10F senior enlisted leader. “Fleet Cyber Command is made up of some of the Navy’s most dedicated and professional Sailors, so it’s important that we recognize service members when they stand out.”

U.S. Fleet Cyber Command serves as the Navy component command to U.S. Strategic Command and U.S. Cyber Command, and the Navy’s Service Cryptologic Component commander under the National Security Agency/Central Security Service. Fleet Cyber Command also reports directly to the Chief of Naval Operations as an Echelon II command.

U.S. 10th Fleet is the operational arm of Fleet Cyber Command and executes its mission through a task force structure similar to other warfare commanders. In this role, C10F provides operational direction through its Maritime Operations Center located at Fort George Meade Md., executing command and control over assigned forces in support of Navy or joint missions in cyber/networks, information operations, electronic warfare, cryptologic/signals intelligence and space.
