Cowboys receiver hosts football camp at JBSA

JOINT BASE SAN ANTONIO-RANDOLPH, Texas – Children from Joint Base San Antonio gathered at JBSA-Randolph to attend a football camp hosted by Terrance Williams, Dallas Cowboys wide receiver, June 26-27 at the Rambler Fitness Center.

Children at the camp learned the fundamentals of football, teamwork and sportsmanship.

“They are out here having a great time learning things they can take with them into the future,” said Williams. “Learning simple fundamental things can help them in life, not just in sports, but also learning to work with people and (the importance of) having a great team.”

Williams and the coaches put the campers through several drills, including passing, running and catching. Toward the end of the first day of camp, children competed against each other in 7-on-7 team drills.

JBSA-Randolph was one of the 11 military communities selected to host a 2017 ProCamps football event.
