MOI and ISAF Agree to Investigate Possible Friendly Fire Incident

KABUL, Afghanistan - It has been reported separately to the Ministry of Interior and International Security Assistance Force that three members of the Afghan national police may have been killed yesterday and two others wounded in a possible friendly fire incident in Tarin Kowt, Uruzgan.

The full details of the incident are not yet known and are currently being established. It was reported that Rozi Khan, the Chora District governor was amongst those killed.

The Ministry of the Interior and ISAF have agreed to jointly investigate the exact circumstances of the incident and will report their findings when they are available.
