CW3 Kenneth Morris Retires After More Than 30 Years

Morris was awarded the Meritorious Service Medal for his many years of dedicated service to the Illinois National Guard and the Army, including a combat tour in Afghanistan with the Illinois Army National Guard's 33rd Infantry Brigade Combat Team from 2008 to 2009. Morris ended his service working in Illinois' United States Property and Fiscal Office.
Maj. Gen. Michael Zerbonia, the Assistant Adjutant General - Army of the Illinois National Guard and Commander of the Illinois Army National Guard, presided over Morris' retirement ceremony. Among the many guests at the ceremony were Morris' father, Richard, a U.S. Navy veteran; his mother, Valerie, his two sons, 17-year-old Ryan and 14-year-old Colton; his long-time partner, Paula Wolfe; and her daughter, Amber.
