MAYPORT NAVAL STATION, Fla. – Professional Staff Members (PSMs) from the House Armed Services Committee (HASC) spent the afternoon at Southeast Regional Maintenance Center (SERMC) Oct. 18th, receiving a tour of key production shops and labs.
Mr. Andrew Warren, Ms. Vickie Plunkett and Mr. Craig Collier serve on the Readiness Subcommittee and engaged with the commander and key staff on issues related to ship maintenance and logistics requirements to support operational forces. The Readiness Subcommittee ensures our Sailors are properly trained and their equipment is properly maintained so they can succeed in their missions.
Upon completion, the staffers returned to Washington with a better understanding of SERMC’s ship maintenance capabilities and capacity, logistics requirements and innovative practices.
