Elements of the 68th Engineer Construction Company is working to construct a staging area for units training at North Fort Hood. This project is nicknamed "Area 51" and is one of the largest projects the 62nd Engineer Battalion has conducted in three years. The construction consists of clearing and grubbing the area, grading it to ensure proper drainage, and installing multiple culverts.
