KABUL, Afghanistan – Regional Command South hosted a reception at Kandahar Airfield on Monday to celebrate Now Ruz, the Afghan new year.
"Now Ruz celebrations offer an opportunity to reflect on what has been accomplished in the south of this remarkable country over the last year," said Major General Marc Lessard, RC-S commander. "I would like to take this opportunity to convey a happy new year to all the people of Afghanistan."
ISAF is committed to making a difference for the people of Afghanistan and firmly behind the governments plan for a better way of life for all Afghans.
