Fort Wayne, Ind. - Cadet Jonathan Roach from A Company, 1-293rd Infantry Battalion in Fort Wayne, Indiana uses his military education benefits from ROTC and the Indiana Army National Guard.

“I haven’t paid a single dime since joining the Indiana Army National Guard,” said Roach.

Roach is in the ROTC program at Indiana University-Purdue University Fort Wayne and an Indiana Army National Guard soldier. He has been a National Guard soldier for three years as of July 2015.

Roach decided to join the National Guard for tradition because his father and grandfather had served in the military.

At IPFW, Roach is studying organizational leadership. He hopes to join the quartermaster branch as an officer in the National Guard.
