**Update** The time for the press conference tomorrow has moved to 1 pm.

Those wishing to attend are requested to arrive at Naval Station Norfolk Tour and Information Center, 9079 Hampton Blvd, next to Gate 5, no later than 12:15am, August 27. This will facilitate media who are interested to attend both the DSCA Media Day and the NATO press conference and tour. Media attending the DSCA Media Day will be dropped off at the Tour and Information Office in time to attend the press conference.

NORFOLK, Va. - NATO ships from Standing NATO Maritime Group 2 (SNMG2) will arrive in Norfolk Aug. 26, 2014. On Aug. 27, 2014 reporters, photographers and videographers are invited to board Turkish ship TCG Kemalreis (F247) for a press conference with the Commander of SNMG2, and the commanding officers of USS Leyte Gulf (CG 55), the German ship FGS Niedersachsen (F 208) and Kemalreis. The press conference will be followed by a tour of Kemalreis.

Media interested in covering this event should contact the SNMG2 Public Affairs Officer, Lt. Robyn Gerstenslager no later than COB Aug. 26 by sending an email to gerstenr@cg55.navy.mil, cc d.benham@mc.nato.int.

Media must provide the following items, scanned and emailed in advance:

- A valid government-issued ID card, or passport
- A valid press ID card

Those wishing to attend are requested to arrive at NS Norfolk Tour and Information Center, 9079 Hampton Blvd, next to Gate 5, NLT 10:15 a.m., Aug. 27.

Media must be able to transit a ship unassisted, to include climbing up and down steep stairs.

A brief identity check will be conducted prior to the tour. Any media not present at the conclusion of the identity check will be unable to gain access to the ship, so it is important that media be on time.
