Soldiers prepare for EIB qualification at Atterbury

EDINBURGH, Ind. – Over the course of the next month and two iterations of training, Soldiers from all three components of the Army are preparing to test their skills in the Expert Infantry Badge qualification event at Camp Atterbury-Muscatatuck.

Soldiers will be tested in urban operations tactics, patrolling, land navigation, small arms skills and more to prove they have what it takes to earn the Expert Infantry Badge. Participating organizations include 1st Battalion, 335th Infantry Regiment; 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne; Army Reserve; and National Guard Soldiers from Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Maryland, Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin.
Over 100 Soldiers will compete in the first iteration of the qualification June 21 to July 2, and a second iteration will be held July 6-17.
