FORT BRAGG, N.C. – The U.S. Army Civil Affairs & Psychological Operations Command (Airborne), U.S. Army Reserve, will host a change of command ceremony from Maj. Gen. Jeffrey A. Jacobs to Brig. Gen. Daniel R. Ammerman here June 22, 11 a.m., at the main post parade field.
Weather permitting, the ceremony will be viewable live via the Defense Video & Imagery Distribution System website. Both the incoming and outgoing commanders will be available for interviews after the ceremony.
Jacobs, who took command in 2011, is a resident of Columbia, S.C., and is the chief legal counsel for the South Carolina Department of Insurance in Columbia.
Ammerman comes from the 353rd Civil Affairs Command, Staten Island, New York. He is a resident of De Pere, Wis., and is a senior financial manager for Schneider Inc, a large international logistics company.
USACAPOC(A) is the headquarters of all Army Reserve Civil Affairs and Military Information Support Operations units. It is comprised of nearly 13,000 Soldiers who serve in more than 30 states and Puerto Rico.
