BISMARCK, N.D. - The North Dakota National Guard's 188th Army Band will perform in Bismarck, Stanley, Parshall and Minot this week as part of their annual training.

The official mission of the 188th Army Band is to provide music throughout the full spectrum of military operations and to instill in Soldiers the will to fight and win, to foster the support of citizens, to promote national interests at home and abroad and to entertain audiences. In successful completion and ongoing fulfillment of that mission, the band has continued to provide music to the citizens and Soldiers of North Dakota for 127 years.

WHAT: North Dakota National Guard's 188th Army Band performances.

WHEN: June 19-22, 2014.

WHERE: Bismarck, Stanley, Parshall, and Minot.

MEDIA: Media are welcome to attend all events. No pre-coordination necessary.

June 19: 7-9 p.m., Bismarck, Custer Park, 321 W Thayer Avenue: Concert Band, Clarion of Freedom, Dixie, Jazz and TTR.

June 20: 11-11:45 a.m., Bismarck, Bismarck Senior Center, 315 N 20th Street: Brass Quintet and Woodwind Ensemble.

June 20: 7-8 p.m., Stanley, Sybil Center, 301 1st Street SW: Clarion of Freedom.

June 21: 10:00 a.m., Parshall, Starts on east side of Parshall High School: Marching Band - Parade.

June 21: 2-2:40 p.m., Parshall, Main Street: Dixieland.

June 21: 3:30 p.m., Parshall, RTC Multipurpose Building: Concert Band, Parshall Centennial, Ceremony of Freedom.

June 22: 4-5 p.m., Minot, Oak Park, 1305 4th Avenue NW: Arts in the Park (hosted by Council of the Arts), Honor Guard will be present.
