LANSING, Mich. – Michigan National Guard U.S. Army Capt. Todd Falor, of Dewitt, has been awarded the General Douglas MacArthur Leadership Award, which recognizes company-grade officers each year who demonstrate the ideals for which MacArthur stood - duty, honor, country - and promote and sustain effective junior officer leadership in the Army. Falor will receive the award at a ceremony hosted by Chief of Staff of the Army Gen. Raymond Odierno in Washington, May 30.
Falor is assigned to the Lansing-based Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 46th Military Police Command, Michigan Army National Guard and has been a member of the Army National Guard for five years. He also works full-time for the 46th Military Police Command’s operations section.
Falor is a veteran of Operation Enduring Freedom. During his last tour in Afghanistan, he served as the company commander for the 1433rd Engineer Company, whose mission was to perform route clearance throughout the area of operation.
During his military career, Falor has received numerous awards including two Bronze Stars, the Meritorious Service Medal, the Army Commendation Medal, and the Joint Service Achievement Medal.
Falor and his wife, Amanda, have two children, Derek and Samantha. He is the son of Lansing residents, Ellen and Bill Watson, and Perrinton residents, Ron and Tracy Falor.
