CAMP LEJEUNE, N.C. -More than 180 Marines and sailors with Combat Logistics Battalion 24, Combat Logistics Regiment 27, 2nd Marine Logistics Group departed Soiffert Field, here Jan. 10 to attend the Integrated Training Exercise in Twentynine Palms, Calif.

The ITX is used to train and assess service members to core mission essential tasks for the unit’s designated mission. The integrated nature of the ITX will ensure maximum training benefit for ground, aviation and logistics combat elements during the 29-day training cycle.

For ground units, the ITX will be a Service-sponsored assessment of core mission essential tasks in a combined arms, live fire environment.

As the Marine Corps transitions from more than a decade of continuous combat, we maintain mission readiness by training in order to prepare for future battles that we will be inevitably be called on to fight.

CLB 24 is scheduled to arrive back in North Carolina mid February.
