Afghan leaders lead police force in Logar province, confiscate three weapons caches

LOGAR PROVINCE, Afghanistan – Afghan leaders and a team of national and local police conducted two operations in the Pul-e Alam and Muhammad Agha districts confiscating three weapons caches Dec. 18.

Brig. Gen. Abdul Hakim Ishaqzai, provincial police chief, and Lt. Col. Baz Mohammad, district police chief, led the operations to disrupt enemy activity in southern parts of the district.

The security forces detained one suspected insurgent during the operations.

They also confiscated more than 400 rounds of ammunition, 13 rocket-propelled grenades, several hand grenades, two police uniforms, one improvised explosive device, an assault rifle and IED building material.
