BISMARCK, N.D. — The North Dakota National Guard will conduct its annual preparation for potential response to blizzard conditions on Sat. Nov. 16, at the Guard headquarters at Fraine Barracks, Bismarck.

The Military Decision Making Process will involve approximately 20 staff members working together to develop a plan in the event the Guard is ordered to respond to severe weather conditions.

The North Dakota National Guard regularly conducts exercises to enhance and maintain emergency preparedness for state emergencies like flooding or other natural disasters. The National Guard is the first military responder to civil emergencies and responds when ordered by the governor.
