DORAL, Fla. - WHAT: U.S. Southern Command will have a memorial service ceremony in honor of Master Sgt. Martin Gonzales.
WHO: Air Force Master Sgt. Martin Gonzales worked at United States Southern Command (SOUTHCOM) and killed in a plane crash on Oct. 5, 2013, in Colombia. The U.S.-contracted DH-8 aircraft crashed near the Panamanian border while conducting detection and monitoring operations in support of Operation Martillo, killing three Americans and a Panamanian.
WHEN: Press is asked to arrived on Ocotber 28 at 9:15. to allow for credentialing, parking and security scans. The ceremony will begin at 10:00 a.m.
WHERE: Gate 2, U.S. Southern Command headquarters, 9301 NW 33rd St., Doral, Fla. 33172 (east of the intersection of NW 97th Ave and NW 33rd St).
